The Fabulous Benelli 250/4

Inspired by the magical multi cylinder G.P. bikes of the vintage 60s Giannini has created a replica factory racer using a Benelli engine and frame from the production 250/4 street version sold in the early 70s.

Carefully selecting vintage parts, this beautiful racer has been hand crafted with every detail guided by the original factory GP version. The frame has been modified to include two new down tubes at the front of the engine that work to produce a full double cradle frame. These are designed along the lines employed by MV Agusta to allow easy engine removal and are themselves removable. Frame rigidity is insured by the use of special machined plugs that lock the removable section in place. Ceriani replica 35 mm forks support the massive 230 mm double sided Gremeca 4 cam brake with MV Agusta Magnesium side plates. A heavier longer swing arm supports a single sided 8-inch brake with ample cushion drive to protect the Benelli transmission. The engine has been modified to include 22 mm intake, 18 mm exhaust valves holding duel R&D springs with titanium collars, and 21 mm Dellorto carburetors fitted to a specially ported head by Ron Hamp. The internals have been lightened and balanced and special Asso pistons have been fitted that bump the compression to 11.5:1. The tank, seat and megaphones were custom designed and hand hammered by Evan Wilcox. The fairing taken from an original form owned by Rob Iannucci was made be Air Tech. The ignition is designed and built by Dyna Ignition with wires by Crane Cam of Daytona Florida.

Giannini Racing will be offering two of these stunning examples of vintage motor cycle history for sale. Serious email inquires should be directed to our web address - giannini@gianniniracing.com - or by phone (973-378-8095).
